Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and ensure completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and manage user access. Install and upgrade software while maintaining software licenses. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Support installation, maintenance, and usage of the organization's LAN, establish network procedures regarding access methods, timing, security validation checks, and documentation, and maintain network software and hardware inventories. Research and troubleshoot network-related hardware and software issues, inform users of network problems, and maintain continuity of software licensing and maintenance agreements. Under general supervision, install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business requirements. Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimal performance, ensure data integrity through appropriate hardware and software solutions, and maintain data recoverability through scheduled backups and archive operations.
