Note: Certain math and business courses although taken as part of a computer science curriculum, are not counted towards the 15 semester credit hours. Preferred Qualifications: * Candidate needs to have a fundamental understanding of Active Directory to support the issuance of computer hardware and system access. * Candidate needs to be able to diagnosis computer hardware and printer issues and determine corrective actions. * Candidate should have a basic understanding of email and Office365 products. * Candidate should be able to install, configure and troubleshoot software on Windows desktops. * Candidate must have a good understanding of computer information systems fundamentals in order to support IT hardware and software., Some positions may require additional credentials or a background check to verify your identity. ## Description * Provide remote technical support via the Service Desk for NYSIF staff and external customers. * Address service requests and provide assistance to end users as it relates to NYSIF personal computing, both hardware and software. * Image computers. * Provide new employee onboarding support. * Configure mobile devices. * Support all ITS Teams with hardware deployments, installations and system maintenance. * Create and maintain user and instructional documentation. * Assist with the ITS hardware asset hardware inventory, including the maintenance of hardware inventory system data, participation in the annual Physical Inventory and hardware disposals. * Demonstrated ability to engage in good customer service skills when working with end users is required. * Experience and sound knowledge of basic computer functionality, including Windows operating systems, is necessary.
