Fiber Networks Specialist Preferred Qualifications * Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, FileNet, or similar drawing and document management tools. * Knowledge of GIS or mapping applications used for fiber route documentation. * Familiarity with optical transport and telecommunications network technologies. * Experience managing right-of-way and permitting activities. Level III * Demonstrates advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities. * Possesses excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Exercises independent judgment on projects and assignments. * Maintains a strong understanding of customer expectations and industry best practices. * Requires 47 years of direct outside fiber project management experience. ## Description Our client is a leading energy company committed to delivering reliable electric service through innovative infrastructure and technology solutions. The Fiber Networks Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the design, construction, maintenance, and expansion of the client's fiber optic network, which provides mission-critical communications for transmission and distribution operations. Fiber Networks Specialist Responsibilities * Support and manage the client's fiber optic network and related projects. * Coordinate with IT, engineering, field personnel, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. * Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective fiber network solutions. * Develop project requirements, schedules, budgets, and business cases. * Champion safe work practices in compliance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. * Conduct field site visits to support construction, maintenance, relocations, and project implementation as needed. * Ensure network documentation, drawings, and records remain accurate and up to date. * Coordinate planned and unplanned fiber optic events through the Change Management process. * Participate in an on-call rotation and support network maintenance activities., The Fiber Networks Specialist is expected to participate in meetings, project discussions, and cross-functional collaboration in a professional, inclusive, and safety-focused manner.
