We are seeking an excellent editor, writer and curator immersed in New York's local culture who has strong experience in a digital media environment. The ideal candidate has a deep familiarity with New York's events scene and local landmarks and is bursting with ideas on developing new stories and growing our audience., * Bachelor's degree * Advanced English proficiency * Five to six years of professional experience in the media industry, with a specific focus on digital content and production * Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practices * Ability to work with various tools of the trade, including content management systems and basic photo and video skills * Experience with analytical tools, including Google Analytics, Looker and Marfeel * On camera experience preferred ## Description The New York Things To Do Editor will primarily focus on what's exciting and new or tried and true in the city, as well as produce service-focused digital listicles and larger attractions-related features. The New York Things To Do Editor will curate the best of the region for our audience across all platforms-including digital, social, email and live events at both Time Out Market New York locations. This is a multifaceted position focusing on writing and social media planning, tasked with the overall responsibility of engaging our audience across multiple verticals and channels, with an emphasis on digital storytelling. At Time Out, we broadly define a "thing to do" as anything that gets New Yorkers out and about and exploring their city; this can also often include art, music, film, and comedy events, though usually not theater or restaurants and bars, which are both covered by separate roles on staff.
