This role is best suited for an experienced professional with a strong background in administering enterprise-grade relational and cloud-native database platforms, with proven expertise in RDS MySQL and Snowflake, as well as the broader AWS services that support them - DMS, IAM, CloudWatch, networking, and infrastructure-as-code. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and integrity of database environments that support business-critical applications and analytics. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of overall database administration experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience administering RDS MySQL and Snowflake environments, and thrives in an in-office, collaborative environment., * 10+ years of total experience in database administration. * 5+ years of hands-on experience with RDS MySQL with strong focus on performance tuning and operational stability. * 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including compute optimization, cost management, and RBAC-based access control. * Hands-on experience with core AWS services - DMS, IAM, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform) - supporting cloud database environments. * Deep understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, execution plans, storage optimization, and workload management. * Proven experience administering databases in cloud environments. * Experience working with stakeholders on data strategy, governance, and compliance. * Background in data governance frameworks (PII handling, access control, metadata management).
