This is not a technician position, and it is not a high-pressure sales position. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, steady, friendly, and good at keeping details from falling through the cracks. Our shop is busy, and automotive repair involves a lot of moving pieces: customer communication, repair orders, parts invoices, receipts, follow-up notes, appointments, warranty notes, technician updates, and bookkeeping documentation. We are looking for someone who can help keep those details organized so our front office runs smoothly. What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: * Answering phones and greeting customers professionally * Helping schedule appointments and follow-up visits * Assisting the service advisor with customer updates * Keeping repair orders organized and accurate in Tekmetric * Helping make sure parts invoices, receipts, and documents are attached to the correct repair orders * Coordinating paperwork and receipts for bookkeeping * Following up on small open items such as ordered parts, customer callbacks, and rescheduled work * Helping track parts returns, cores, warranty parts, and vendor paperwork * Confirming that customer authorizations, notes, photos, and repair order details are complete * Helping prevent small details from becoming larger customer service or accounting issues * Supporting the service advisor without taking over the advisor's primary sales role ## Related Videos - [Car's are Technology on Wheels - Impact of Software and IT Competence in Automotive](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/780-car-s-are-technology-on-wheels-impact-of-software-and-it-competence-in-automotive) - [Tackling the Risks of AI - With AI](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1690-tackling-the-risks-of-ai-with-ai) - [WebAssembly Revolution: Elevating JavaScript's Reach and Performance](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1149-webassembly-revolution-elevating-javascript-s-reach-and-performance) - [Agile work at CARIAD – Creating a customer web application for controlling the vehicle ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/200-agile-work-at-cariad-creating-a-customer-web-application-for-controlling-the-vehicle) - [Closing Keynote by Joel Spolsky](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/615-closing-keynote-by-joel-spolsky) - [Automated Driving - Why is it so hard to introduce](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/628-automated-driving-why-is-it-so-hard-to-introduce) ## Related Articles - [How software is steering vehicle technology](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/515-how-software-is-steering-vehicle-technology) - [Starter Kit For Job Applications For Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/7-starter-kit-for-job-applications-for-developers) - [How to Answer the “Why Should We Hire You” Interview Question](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/321-how-to-answer-the-why-should-we-hire-you-interview-question) - [Quick guide: How to write a Software Developer CV](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/37-quick-guide-how-to-write-a-software-developer-cv) - [How should you format your IT resume?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/68-how-should-you-format-your-it-resume) - [Top Characteristics of a Software Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/166-top-characteristics-of-a-software-engineer)
