* Strong hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience, Ideally over 7 years of experience
 * Experience supporting large-scale or high-availability environments
 * Good understanding of query performance and PostgreSQL internals
 * Comfortable working in fast-paced engineering-driven environments
 * Great Communication skills

## Description

I'm currently working on a fantastic opportunity for a strong hands-on PostgreSQL DBA contractor to join a highly technical infrastructure team supporting complex production environments., * PostgreSQL database administration and production support

 * Performance tuning and optimisation
 * High availability, replication, backup & disaster recovery
 * Monitoring and troubleshooting database issues
 * Supporting migrations/upgrades and platform improvements
 * Working closely with infrastructure and engineering teams
 * Ensuring security, reliability and scalability across the database environment

Tech environment:

 * PostgreSQL

 * Linux

 * Cloud platforms - primarily Amazon Web Services / Aurora / RDS

 * CI/CD, Terraform and automation tooling exposure beneficial
