You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Minimum requirement for Supervisory Health System Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing or managing health care quality/safety programs; aligning quality and safety priorities with mission requirements, reviewing incident reports, safety data, and performance measures, or analyzing quality data to identify performance trends. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Background check type * Suitability/Fitness Financial disclosure required No Some jobs require financial disclosure to identify conflicts of interests. ## Description * Direct day-to-day operations, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and identify training and developmental needs of workforce. * Obtaining, allocating, and committing critical resources to advance the hospital's clinical quality and patient safety programs. * Manage the operational and capital budgets for the department. * Evaluate healthcare information technology, data analytics software, and reporting tools necessary to track clinical outcomes and meet federal regulatory mandates. * Review incident reports, safety data, and performance measures to identify organizational risks. * Oversee the coordination and alignment of Patient Safety, Infection Prevention, Healthcare Risk Management, Credentialing and Privileging, Accreditation and Compliance, Clinical Measurement, and Performance Improvement activities., * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * A Personnel Security Investigation is required. * Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series. * One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement. * Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption. * Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position. * Position is designated as Mission Essential.
