## About the Role

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in application or software development engineering.

Technical Skills:

 * Expertise in mainframe programming languages and development tools such as JCL, COBOL, DB2, and IBM mainframe utilities (Syncsort, DFSort, ICETOOL) on z/OS.
 * Experience with Changeman ZMF for change management and ESP for job scheduling.
 * Advanced proficiency in software development principles, SAFe/Agile methodology, and version control systems.
 * Deep understanding of database structures, web technologies, and technical applications.
 * Experience in software testing, quality assurance, and code optimization.
 * Knowledge of customer support tools, ticketing systems, and knowledge base platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Knowledge and understanding of Collections business processes.

## Description

* Conduct research and analysis of the existing CACS application and its documented interfaces.
 * Identify required changes for integration with downstream applications.
 * Create architecture and design documentation for the proposed processing.
 * Engineer the technical solution, manage migration to the integration environment for testing, and resolve identified bugs.
 * Assist with debt sale execution and validation by running existing mainframe programs.
 * Design, develop, and optimize high-quality software applications using advanced programming languages and frameworks.
 * Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
 * Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices.
 * Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application functionality issues, performance problems, and bugs.
 * Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and lead small projects and initiatives.
