Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # SAP BW / 4 HANA Consultant - **Company:** Insight Global - **Location:** San Francisco, CA, United States - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP), Application Lifecycle Management, Software Bug Management, Data Synchronization, Microsoft Office, SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Project System, Web Intelligence, Sap Business Objects, Backend, Core Data, Performance Monitor, SAP S/4HANA, Tools for Reporting, Front End Software Development, Servicenow - **Published:** June 24, 2026 - **Apply:** https://dejobs.org/x/x/1F93AB807DE043EAB944C199B2228003/job/ ## About the Role Backend * SAP BW/4HANA * BW-related ABAP * CDS Views * Enterprise HANA / SAP HANA Front-end / Reporting * SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) - Webi and AO ITSM / Operations * ServiceNow incident/request/change handling; strong queue and SLA management Required experience & capabilities * Experience leading AMS/support delivery with onshore-offshore team coordination. * Strong production support mindset: prioritization under pressure, clear communications, and disciplined follow-through. * Ability to translate business urgency (close cycles) into execution plans and daily priorities. * Strong stakeholder management (business users, IT, integration partners) and concise status reporting. * Prior experience supporting reporting during finance close windows. * Upgrade/hypercare experience in SAP BW/4HANA or reporting platforms. ## Description We're looking for an onsite Application Management Support (AMS) resource to run day-to-day support and small enhancements for a SAP BW/4HANA (Business Warehouse for HANA) landscape, coordinate with offshore delivery, and ensure business-critical reporting continuity-especially during month-end/quarter-end/year-end close., Service management & delivery ownership * Manage client stakeholders and the offshore team to maintain business continuity and stable operations. * Own ServiceNow queue hygiene: monitor for unassigned Incidents (defects) and Service Requests / RITMs (Request Item) and drive assignment/triage. * Prioritize and deliver Incidents and Changes/RITMs based on business criticality, SLAs, and release constraints. * Lead readiness and hypercare planning for major milestones (month-end, quarter-end, year-end close), including staffing and proactive monitoring. Technical / functional ownership (BW & reporting) * Ensure smooth operation of SAP BW/4HANA data models, loads, and reporting consumption. * Support and govern BW-related development/enhancements including: o BW ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) objects and fixes o CDS Views (Core Data Services) usage and integration patterns o Enterprise HANA / SAP HANA performance and data consistency considerations * Own reporting support for SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ): o Web Intelligence (Webi) o Analysis for Office (AO) Integration & data quality operations * Ensure data synchronization between SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems (including flat-file based feeds) is running reliably. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution for failed/partial loads and reconciliation gaps. Housekeeping & risk control * Perform/coordinate housekeeping activities such as change request deletion/cleanup and general backlog hygiene. * Maintain operational documentation and knowledge transfer (runbooks, SOPs, recurring issue notes). Mini project / upgrade support * Support an ongoing upgrade mini project (planning, coordination, cutover readiness, defect triage, and stabilization).
