Esri Enterprise System Design. or related Esri certifications. TOGAF, DoDAF, or equivalent architecture frameworks. * Experience translating mission needs into vendor requirements and assessing technical trade-offs., * Enterprise-Level GIS Architecture Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing and governing large-scale, mission-critical GIS architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments, including mastery of Esri enterprise systems, geospatial data models, and API integration patterns. * Cross-Agency & Mission Partner Integration Experience: Proven ability to work across PEOs, federal agencies, NSG/ASG partners, and stakeholders, translating complex mission requirements into scalable technical architectures that support multi-domain, coalition, and intelligence operations. * Technical Leadership & Governance: Experience establishing and enforcing enterprise governance, including standards for security, API design, data interoperability, and system integration. Ability to provide strategic guidance, high-level troubleshooting, and architectural decision support to PMO/GPMO leadership. * Cloud & Modernization Expertise: Hands-on experience architecting GIS capabilities in AWS (preferred), Azure, or hybrid cloud environments, including geospatial microservices, containerization, automation, and distributed data management, with a focus on performance, resiliency, and zero-trust security principles. * Active Top Secret Clearance (SCI and CI/Poly Eligible). ## Description We are seeking a proactive Enterprise GIS Lead Architect to join our Cybersecurity team. The GIS Architect will provide the overarching technical vision, architectural governance, and strategic roadmap for the Enterprise GIS (EGIS) program. This role acts as the connective tissue between mission needs, enterprise business objectives, and technical implementation, ensuring that all geospatial solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and optimized for multi-domain operational environments. As the senior technical authority, the Lead Architect collaborates with the Program Manager (PM), agency stakeholders, National System and Allied System Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG/ASG) partners, and the Government Program Management Office (GPMO), as well aske y industry partners to ensure the architecture supports diverse mission sets and emerging geospatial requirements. This position will assist in removing programmatic and technical blockers for the PMO, offering decision support, high-level troubleshooting, and architectural risk mitigation to maintain development momentum across teams. The role maintains strong relationships with internal and external vendors such as AWS, ensuring that mission requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications and that all designs uphold enterprise standards for cloud/on-premise GIS delivery, data model governance, Application Program Interface (API) integration, and security.
