## About the Role

* 1+ year of experience in an IT-related position.
 * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
 * Valid U.S. Passport.
 * CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
 * Proficiency with Microsoft ecosystem tools, including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
 * Experience with Cisco networking tools and technologies.
 * Working knowledge of VMware virtualization platforms.
 * Experience administering and managing Active Directory.
 * Experience implementing and maintaining DISA STIG compliance.

Physical Demands

 * Operate in a field environment to establish local networks, troubleshoot IT equipment, and integrate COTS hardware and software during the assessment.
 * Serve onsite in a variety of roles including: observer/controller, role player, white cell exercise control, etc.
 * Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
 * Must be physically able to move with military personnel in a field environment to observe and collect data in all weather.

## Description

Arrange personal travel plans in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) to support assessment events.

 * Establish local area networks that support UMC field operations. Act as network engineer and system administrator for the UMC team and designated exercise participants. Integrate COTS equipment as necessary. Provide recommendations on IT equipment necessary to support UMC.
 * Familiarize with the equipment or applications to be tested/assessed and provide assistance to the rest of the team in its use. Troubleshoot as necessary.
 * Develop professional products that would help UMC personnel and assessment participants to use equipment (i.e. quick start guide or cheat sheet).
 * Augment the UMC in a variety of roles including: observer/controller, role player, white cell exercise control, etc.
 * Submit travel costs/expense reports in accordance with JTR.
