Under administrative direction, this position will direct, coordinate, and review the activities of the statewide telecommunications program for the Department of Children and Family Services. The position will provide guidance regarding available technology and cost effectiveness of proposed telecommunications systems and devices. This position will also monitor unit activities to ensure compliance with Department policies and federal and state laws, rules, and statutes. Additionally, the position will confer with subordinate manager regarding telephone, wireless, and data issues, and/or requests related to cost factors, equipment information and analysis, new/pending orders and projects, billing interpretation and reconciliation, and deadlines.
