We seek an individual to participate in whole genome sequencing analysis from our Hischsprung disease collection. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of the biology of human genetics as well as bioinformatic skills. The individual will adapt existing and develop novel software applications for a growing computing and analysis development team in human disease genomics; work collaboratively with other lab members, but also complete projects on time and independently; and develop computational expertise in genetics., To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Math/ Statistics/Physics/Information Science or related technical discipline. Strong programming skills in Matlab, R, C/C++, Perl/Python. Must be able to work in a demanding and dynamic team environment and work independently. Knowledge of algorithms and data-structures. Experience with Web-based application development languages such as HTML/JavaScript, ColdFusion, ASP/JSP. Experience with windows and Unix/Linux operating systems; ability to read and write technical documentation; proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written required.
