Skills in: Using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments., High school diploma or equivalent. The Work You Will Do: Materials Coordinator- Database App/District One/District Materials Office This position plays a key role in supporting the department by evaluating and improving projects and processes to ensure consistent, efficient, and reliable outcomes. It ensures data accuracy and compliance through detailed analysis of materials information, promptly addressing errors and communicating issues to stakeholders. This role enhances customer service by providing timely technical support, guidance, training, and data-driven reports that aid decision-making across the Materials Office. It also contributes to the department's mission by reviewing technical documents, offering constructive feedback, and proposing practical solutions. Additionally, the position strengthens operational effectiveness by providing computer, network, and software support, coordinating virtual meetings and trainings, and assisting with user account management and specialized applications. Where You Will Work: District One/District Materials Office, Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable, and repeatable. Perform analysis of materials data for contract and procedural compliance. Take timely action to correct any errors in the data. Actively facilitate the notification of stakeholders of errors, failures or negative trends. Provide materials and related technical support to customers as requested. Provide support in time to meet the customer's needs. Provide guidance and training to customers. Supplies technical data and generates reports that assist Materials office functions with decision making. Generates adhoc queries for special needs and investigations by the Materials office. Review Quality Control plans, Construction plans, specifications, procedures, and any other documents necessary to execute the Department's mission. Provide clear comments as requested in time to be useful to the customer. Offers solutions when objecting to the approach that is proposed. Provide personal computer and network support including the setup of specific internet related conferences, presentations, and trainings including GoToMeetings. Assist in organizing, preparing, and delivering Districtwide Materials Operations related trainings and presentations. Provide support for the creation of new users or transfers. Provide support for the District Materials and Research Office on specific computer software applications including but not be limited to computer aided drafting and design applications, and SharePoint., Operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Analyze and interpret engineering data. Solve problems relating to engineering. Apply engineering quantitative techniques. Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Communicate engineering information effectively. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Research future computer equipment (hardware/software) needs. Organize and procure equipment and provide onsite equipment setup and support for training conferences and presentations. Create Structured Query Language for data analysis. Other Job-Related Requirements: Must pass or have passed the Construction Math and Contract Plans Reading Self Study examinations.
