## About the Role

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data solutions industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Database Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Database Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data Operations department supporting innovative application and analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

## Description

* Design and develop efficient, scalable database solutions aligned to business requirements.
 * Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools to ensure optimal performance.
 * Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas for reliability and speed.
 * Implement and maintain database security controls to safeguard sensitive data.
 * Collaborate with application developers to optimize schema designs and SQL queries, troubleshooting incidents and providing timely resolutions across environments.

What's Needed?

 * Strong understanding of AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database resources.
 * Proven experience as a Database Engineer or DBA, with deep knowledge of DBMSs such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Redshift.
 * Proficiency in SQL and query optimization techniques.
 * Solid grasp of data modeling, normalization, and schema design principles.
 * Hands-on experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and disaster recovery procedures.
