## About the Role

You don't need a background in the maritime industry.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, is curious by nature and likes building software that engineers rely on.
You have:

 + A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical discipline.
 + Experience with software development (junior, medior or senior).
 + An interest in technical or scientific software.
 + Good communication skills in English.

## Description

As a Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the continued development of our engineering software.
Your work includes:

 + Developing new functionality.
 + Improving and maintaining existing software.
 + Solving challenging technical problems.
 + Designing and implementing algorithms and numerical methods.
 + Building interfaces with other software systems.
 + Testing, validating and documenting new features.
 + Working closely with naval architects to translate engineering challenges into practical software solutions.
Occasionally, you'll also help with technical aspects of our internal IT environment. This is a small part of the role.
Our technology
Our software is primarily developed in D , with parts written in C++ .
Experience with D is not required. If you're comfortable with C++, Rust, C#, or another modern programming language, we'll help you get up to speed.
