## Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support and enhance production-critical systems across Ironmaking, Steelmaking, and the Rolling Mills.
This role combines hands-on development, system integration, and operational support within a complex OT environment spanning both modern platforms and legacy systems. You will play a key role in improving system reliability, data integrity, and the ongoing modernisation of process control systems., * Develop and support applications using C#, Python, PHP, and SQL across multiple plant areas

 * Design, maintain, and optimise databases, interfaces, and data pipelines
 * Troubleshoot issues across real-time and near-real-time system integrations
 * Support and enhance operational reporting and dashboards (e.g. Grafana / Power BI)
 * Work on legacy systems (Fortran, VAX/VMS, Alpha) and contribute to migration/modernisation
 * Support virtualisation/emulation of legacy systems and integration with modern platforms
 * Ensure data accuracy, availability, and reliability across process control systems
 * Collaborate with operations, process engineers, and IT teams to resolve production issues
 * Follow and contribute to change control, version control (Git), and deployment practices
 * Identify and deliver improvements in system performance, resilience, and maintainability
