## About the Role

We're looking for a backend engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building robust systems end-to-end. You'll work across data pipelines, APIs and infrastructure, ensuring our platform runs efficiently and scales cleanly as we grow., * 5-7 years' experience building production-grade backends (Python is a must; additional experience in Go, C++, or Java is valuable)

 * Solid in SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL or similar)
 * Experienced with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
 * Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a problem
 * Startup mindset - quick to ship, focused on quality, allergic to bureaucracy

Nice to have

 * Linux debugging and performance tuning
 * Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
 * Experience with data pipelines or analytical databases
 * Interest in edge/cloud hybrid architectures

## Description

* Develop and maintain backend features and APIs for our core platform
 * Improve database performance, reliability and real-time data processing
 * Debug, profile and optimise code to keep latency low and systems stable
 * Collaborate with AI, frontend and product teams to integrate new capabilities
 * Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of our backend stack
