The ability to learn and apply company policies consistently, and to seek guidance where appropriate, is required. ## Description The Product Owner / Lead PO for Nexsure will be a senior member of Dyad's product delivery organization, responsible for translating product strategy into clearly defined and executable work across one or more Nexsure product areas. Reporting to the VP of Product, this role will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Customer Success, and other business stakeholders to drive backlog strategy, requirements quality, delivery predictability, and release readiness. The Product Owner will not only manage backlog execution but will also establish strong Product Owner practices, improve delivery standards, coordinate dependencies across teams, and mentor other Product Owners. The ideal candidate is a precise and structured thinker who can translate complex business needs into clear product requirements, make sound decisions in ambiguous situations, and influence senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Success., Product Backlog and Prioritization * Own and maintain the product backlog for assigned Nexsure product areas * Partner with Product Management to translate product strategy and roadmaps into epics, features, user stories, and technical deliverables * Prioritize work based on customer needs, business value, delivery capacity, technical dependencies, and risk * Ensure that development teams have a clearly prioritized and sprint ready pipeline of work * Define and maintain clear Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards Requirements and Functional Specifications * Develop detailed user stories, feature specifications, business rules, workflows, acceptance criteria, and edge cases * Break complex business requirements into clear, structured, and executable units of work * Clearly define scope boundaries, dependencies, assumptions, and expected outcomes * Ensure requirements are complete and sufficiently detailed for Engineering and Quality Assurance teams * Review requirements prepared by other Product Owners and Business Analysts and provide guidance where required * Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning activities * Coordinate dependencies and delivery timelines across multiple teams * Identify delivery risks early and work with Product and Engineering leaders to resolve them * Support release readiness reviews and contribute to go or no go decisions Quality and Acceptance * Partner with Quality Assurance teams to ensure test cases and test coverage reflect the agreed requirements and acceptance criteria * Participate in feature reviews, user acceptance testing, and release validation * Accept or reject completed work based on documented requirements and expected outcomes * Identify whether issues result from implementation defects, requirements gaps, scope changes, or unidentified edge cases * Improve requirements quality to reduce defects, rework, and delivery ambiguity Stakeholder Management * Serve as a key connection between Product Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operations, Customer Success, and other stakeholders * Communicate delivery progress, scope decisions, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs clearly * Partner with Operations and Customer Success teams to understand customer needs, operational challenges, and product improvement opportunities * Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, sprint commitments, priorities, and release timelines * Escalate material risks and decisions to senior leaders in a timely manner Product Owner Leadership * Mentor Product Owners and Business Analysts on backlog management, requirements development, prioritization, and sprint execution * Help establish consistent Product Owner standards, templates, and delivery practices * Support the development and calibration of Product Owners across competency levels * Participate in interviews and candidate assessments for Product Owner positions * Promote a culture of accountability, clarity, product judgment, and continuous improvement AI Assisted Product Development * Use AI tools to improve requirements development, backlog refinement, research, documentation, and test case preparation * Review AI generated product documentation for accuracy, completeness, business context, security, and customer impact * Identify practical opportunities to use AI to improve backlog quality and delivery speed * Help Product Owners adopt AI tools responsibly and effectively ## Related Videos -
