This is a role for a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of engineering, communication, and strategy-someone who can translate a mission challenge into a secure, executable design and see it through from concept to delivery. You'll partner with senior leaders to modernize mission systems, craft technical roadmaps, and guide multi-disciplinary teams through implementation. Your diagrams will become reality, including integrated infrastructures, hardened enclaves, and repeatable design patterns that drive secure operations. You'll lead technical solutioning for new engagements, articulate value in executive briefings, and mentor engineers building the next generation of resilient, interoperable systems. When architecture and execution align, missions move faster, safer, and smarter - and you'll be the one making that alignment happen. What You'll Work On: * Architect and oversee enterprise and mission-system solutions spanning infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity domains. * Lead stakeholder workshops, technical interchange meetings, and executive briefings that turn complex requirements into clear direction. * Produce and maintain architecture artifacts, decision records, and integration plans that anchor delivery and compliance. * Guide teams through modernization efforts, including Zero Trust adoption, cross-domain integration, and IL5 or IL6 deployments. * Shape technical solutions for new pursuits, including writing proposal architectures, cost trade-offs, and implementation strategies. * Coordinate delivery execution across engineers, developers, and subcontractors to ensure the architecture intent is realized. * Embed security and compliance from the start using STIG, RMF, and NIST 800-53/171 frameworks. ## Related Videos - [How Cisco embraced a DevOps culture within its network engineering team](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/99-how-cisco-embraced-a-devops-culture-within-its-network-engineering-team) - [Getting under the skin: The Social Engineering techniques](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/38-getting-under-the-skin-the-social-engineering-techniques) - [What makes Cybersecurity different for critical infrastructure?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/571-what-makes-cybersecurity-different-for-critical-infrastructure) - [Computer Vision from the Edge to the Cloud done easy](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/263-computer-vision-from-the-edge-to-the-cloud-done-easy) - [Your Infrastructure Is Not a Playground: AI Agents for Infra Done Right](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/2084-your-infrastructure-is-not-a-playground-ai-agents-for-infra-done-right) - [Beyond micro-services, embrace composable architecture !](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1188-beyond-micro-services-embrace-composable-architecture) ## Related Articles - [Events like RSAC Get You CISOs.
