The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, analytics implementation, and modern front-end/back-end frameworks within regulated government environments., 1. Design System Engineering * Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of the Enterprise Design System, including: + Comprehensive style guide + Reusable pattern/component library + Design principles + Governance model and documentation * Engineer reusable, accessible UI components that enforce consistency across websites, applications, and digital platforms. * Translate design artifacts into scalable, production-ready component libraries (e.g., React, Angular, or similar frameworks). * Ensure Section 508 accessibility compliance and alignment with DoD security requirements. * Establish versioning, documentation standards, and contribution guidelines. * Implement automated testing for UI components (unit, regression, accessibility). * Support designers, developers, content editors, and knowledge managers in adopting the Design System to accelerate development and reduce redundancy. * Ensure enterprise products maintain usability and quality standards resulting in no more than two (2) validated customer complaints per month. 2. Product Development & Innovation The Senior Developer will employ agile methodologies to support the full product lifecycle across enterprise platforms (e.g., internal portals, workflow systems, digital forms, and knowledge platforms). Agile Engineering & Product Support: * Participate in discovery, requirements refinement, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. * Provide architectural guidance for scalable, modular, cloud-native solutions. * Support modernization of legacy applications using microservices and API-driven architectures. * Implement modular and reusable code structures to enhance maintainability. * Contribute to backlog refinement and technical estimation. AI-Enabled Capabilities * Design and implement AI-enabled features within Government-approved environments to enhance: + Decision support + Workflow automation + Intelligent search + Content summarization + Predictiveanalytics * Integrate AI services using secure APIs and approved cloud-native AI services. * Ensure human-in-the-loop controls and governance mechanisms for AI implementations. * Implement logging, auditability, and explainability controls in accordance with DoD policy. * Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions meet ATO and data protection requirements. 3. Analytics & Performance * Implement analytics frameworks to measure: + User adoption + Application performance + System reliability + Mission outcomes * Integrate analytics tools such as: + Matomo + Microsoft Power BI + Other Government-approved reporting and dashboard platforms * Develop dashboards and performance monitoring solutions to support leadership decision-making. * Establish telemetry standards for application performance monitoring (APM). * Provide actionable insights through data modeling and visualization. * Support continuous improvement through metrics-driven optimization. 4.
