## About the Role

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
 * 3+ years of experience in cash application or insurance-related payment processing.
 * Experience working with SAP.
 * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
 * Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
 * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 * Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure.
 * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Experience with AS400.
 * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
 * Experience in the insurance or benefits industry., * cash application or insurance: 3 years (Preferred)
 * SAP: 2 years (Preferred)

## Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing incoming payments, applying cash to customer accounts, researching payment discrepancies, and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment., * Process incoming payments and accurately apply them to customer invoices and accounts.

 * Research and resolve cash application discrepancies using internal systems and resources.
 * Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and open receivables.
 * Process changes related to system updates and business requirements.
 * Meet established productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time goals.
 * Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding payment issues and resolutions.
 * Escalate unresolved issues to management when necessary.
 * Generate and review weekly and monthly reports.
 * Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
 * Provide excellent customer service while handling payment-related inquiries.
