The quality control layer that makes AI-assisted research trustworthy. * Interpret query results against federal accounting logic - USSGL account structures, appropriations lifecycle, fund balance with the Treasury * Identify when an AI-generated report answer is financially incorrect, incomplete, or misaligned with agency business rules * Reconcile financial data across general ledger, sub-ledger, and Treasury reporting systems * Support IPAC, GTAS, and CARS/GWA transaction validation and exception research * Communicate findings clearly to federal agency stakeholders without senior staff intermediation Tier 2 AI-Assisted Research Operator - Core of the Role Primary productivity driver. Eliminates technical staff dependency for data research and reporting. * Use AI-assisted query tools to independently build ad-hoc financial reports against the agency ERP database * Compose and refine natural language prompts to retrieve accurate financial data; validate outputs before delivery * Package and present AI-generated findings in formats suitable for agency financial managers and auditors * Identify data anomalies, reconciliation gaps, and trend deviations through self-service analysis * Maintain a personal library of validated, reusable prompt templates for common financial research scenarios * Document research methodology to support audit trail and repeatability requirements Tier 3 Citizen Developer - Growth Track (Target: Month 12-18) * Expanding role scope.
