Librarian III-System Admin * Researches, purchases, implements and maintains the ILS for integrated operating functions. * Investigates appropriate future enhancements and/or related products to the library's automated system that will benefit patrons' use of the library services and staff productivity. * Trains the library staff and patrons in the use of the ILS and associated vendor training. * Configures and maintains the automated phone service, external and internal DNS entries, online catalog, self-check machines and its connection to the ILS * Acts as liaison between the automated database vendor and related vendors with integrated products to the automated database. * Integrates the ILS and external entities such as book jobbers and the time/access/print management software. * Responsible for the integrity and security of the ILS. * Assigns staff security permissions and authority levels to the automated database. * Designs, creates and refines SQL reports from the ILS database.
