## About the Role

Required:

 + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

 + 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including at least 2-3 years in a senior-level role.

 + Proficiency in Python and SQL.

 + Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: Google Cloud and AWS preferred; Azure acceptable.

 + Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts; experience with BigQuery or similar technologies.

 + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.

Preferred:

 + Experience with JavaScript (legacy code support).

 + Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern data platforms.

 + Exposure to AI/ML concepts and interest in applying them to data engineering.

 + Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

## Description

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines that power IQVIA's forecasting and analytics platforms. You'll work across a global engineering organization, collaborating with product managers, front-end and back-end developers, and fellow data engineers. This role combines hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and coaching junior team members.

Essential Functions

 + Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows for large-scale analytics and audience forecasting.

 + Work across the application stack, focusing primarily on backend data engineering.

 + Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.

 + Collaborate with global engineering pods to maintain consistent coding standards.

 + Mentor and guide junior engineers and contractors, fostering technical growth.

 + Partner with product managers and peers to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
