**Published:** May 20, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=9090c14e1f232a09 ## About the Role Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Superb communications/interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with others * Positive, customer-focused attitude * Must be able to solve highly complex technical problems * Must know how to read, analyze and interpret procedures, instructions and technical documents * Must know how to research and analyze trends in the IT industry. * Must be able to solve problems and understand when it is necessary to seek assistance in the performance of work. * Ability to manage multiple projects and activities independently as well as work in a team environment * Ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities * An understanding of the importance of procedures and the need to follow them is required. * Must have an understanding of the importance of learning is never-ending. * Must be a self-motivated individual, willing to constantly evaluate the environment for improvement, * Associate (2-year) degree, or 2-4 years combined work experience in information technology field: preferably in network field. * Knowledge of Core Networking functions (Routing, Switching, OSI Model) * Certifications: Net+, CCNA (preferred). * Must have and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license., * Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on frequent basis. * Working in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces is required. * Ability to manage multiple projects and activities independently as well as work in a team environment. * Ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities. * An understanding of the importance of procedures and the need to follow them is required. ## Description * Install and maintain communications equipment and wiring in the county offices and in the home office. * Maintain the highest level of network security allowed for according to business model * Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues for county, home office users, and on some occasions, VPN users * Monitor network performance and make adjustments as deemed necessary * Maintain appropriate documentation on current network practices and equipment * Develop and maintain appropriate Disaster Recovery procedures for remote sites and documentation * Develop working knowledge of Security policies and practices as it relates to networking equipment * Research, plan and implement upgrades to network and network infrastructure as needed * Position has responsibility for a component of IT security for their functional area, * Develop and maintain a positive relationship with Internet Service Provider vendors and company personnel. * Keep management and team members informed of technical issues that arise * Be available for 24/7 on-call rotation * Some travel required with occasional overnight trips. ## Related Videos -
