## About the Role

Are you a creative and detail-oriented Design Engineer looking to work on innovative automation projects? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our growing engineering team, designing bespoke solutions that help our customers improve productivity, quality, and efficiency., We're looking for someone who is:

 * Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering discipline.
 * Experienced using 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks).
 * Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
 * A strong problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
 * Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
 * A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
 * Passionate about engineering innovation and continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills

 * Experience designing automation equipment, robotic systems, or special purpose machinery.
 * Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, and assembly.
 * Experience implementing or administering a PDM system.
 * Basic knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
 * Understanding of pneumatic systems and mechanical motion.
 * Experience creating technical documentation and risk assessments.
 * Familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) or industrial automation would be an advantage.

## Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects from initial concept through to manufacture and installation, collaborating with customers, project managers, and production teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions., * Design bespoke mechanical components, fixtures, and automation systems using 3D CAD software.

 * Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
 * Develop innovative design solutions that meet customer specifications and project requirements.
 * Work closely with project engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
 * Participate in design reviews and implement improvements where required.
 * Support prototype development, testing, and commissioning activities.
 * Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
 * Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing processes.
 * Maintain accurate engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
