Agent guide: [/agents.md](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/agents.md). --- # Data Protection Assistant Manager - FTC (Maternity Cover) - Flexible Location - **Company:** Taylor Wimpey plc - **Location:** Leeds, UK - **Experience:** Experienced - **Contract:** Temporary contract - **Skills:** Data Retention, Data Security, Data Sharing, Information Management, Data Processing, SARS Software Products, Information Technology - **Published:** July 3, 2026 - **Apply:** https://find.jobs/jobs-near-me/apply/ats-redirect/?id=2854471776-2 ## About the Role * A degree in law, information technology, information management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * Ideally hold a recognised data protection certification or qualification such as BCS, CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT or otherwise working towards the attainment of such qualifications. * At least two years of experience in a data protection or privacy role, preferably in a similar sector or large organisation. * Knowledge and understanding of the UK Data Protection Act, GDPR and other relevant data protection and privacy laws and regulations, and their application in practice. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data protection and privacy concepts and issues to different audiences and levels of seniority. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and manage data protection and privacy risks and opportunities. * High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. * A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and changing environment. ## Description Reporting to the Data Protection Manager, you will support the organisation's data protection and privacy compliance program, ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and transparently, and that the rights of data subjects are protected across the Taylor Wimpey group. You will assist the Data Protection manager with providing subject matter expertise on key strategic group projects and initiatives involving the processing of personal data.
