## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS Mainframe Security.

 * Knowledge of dataset security, resource protection, and subsystem security administration.
 * Experience performing security audits, access reviews, and security log monitoring.
 * Strong understanding of z/OS security architecture and best practices.
 * Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills., * Experience supporting regulated or enterprise-scale mainframe environments.
 * Familiarity with compliance and audit requirements.
 * Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and security teams.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Logical Security Engineer to join our client's security team in Chandler, AZ. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM z/OS mainframe security, access administration, and security compliance. This role is responsible for managing logical access controls, supporting security audits, and ensuring the integrity of the mainframe environment.
Responsibilities

 * Administer and manage security within IBM z/OS mainframe environments.
 * Configure and maintain RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret security policies and access controls.
 * Perform user and group administration, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications.
 * Manage dataset, resource, and subsystem security permissions.
 * Conduct periodic access reviews and support security audits.
 * Monitor security logs and investigate access-related issues.
 * Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
 * Work closely with infrastructure, application, and audit teams to resolve security concerns.
 * Document security procedures and maintain access control documentation.
