## About the Role

* High school diploma or equivalent
 * 1+ year(s) of experience in nondestructive testing (other methods, such as Magnetic Particle, are encouraged to apply too)
 * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions
 * Ability to pass near-vision and color-vision exams required for NDT
 * Ability to lift 50 lbs.
 * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

 * NDT Level II certification in Penetrant Testing per NAS-410 or ASNT (or equivalent documented training or experience)
 * Familiarity with ISO standards and industry regulations

## Description

Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is looking for a full-time Fluorescent Penetrant - Testing Specialist. This is a great chance to join a steady company in the aerospace industry.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

 * Manage the complete FPI procedure, including preparation, penetrant use, dwell time, removal, drying, developing, and final inspection.
 * Review and record all indications, determining part acceptability as per the required standards.
 * Conduct visual inspections and basic measurements with calipers and gauge pins.
 * Ensure all FPI instruments and controls are functioning properly through regular system checks.
