* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
 * 11 15 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Database Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or related role.
 * Strong SQL experience, including PostgreSQL or equivalent relational database platforms.
 * Solid understanding of relational database fundamentals including keys, constraints, normalization concepts, and data integrity.
 * Demonstrated experience managing, updating, and auditing databases and datasets.
 * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Data Validation, and Power Query.
 * Experience performing data audits and documenting findings, remediation activities, and outcomes.
 * Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills.
 * Ability to independently clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and validate business rules before implementation.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences., * Mechanical or engineering industry experience.
 * Familiarity with AVEVA PI (PI System, PI Data Archive, PI Vision) or time-series data environments.
 * Experience with IBM Maximo, asset management systems, or work order management platforms.
 * Knowledge of AWS services including RDS, S3, Athena, Glue, IAM, and cloud-based data architectures.
 * Experience using database administration and auditing tools such as Quest Toad.
 * Background in business analysis, acceptance criteria development, and data mapping activities.
 * Experience supporting engineering, utility, energy, manufacturing, or asset-intensive environments.

## Description

Analyzes business processes and data management practices to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of information technology solutions that meet customer needs and business initiatives. Applies advanced analytical skills to manage, update, audit, and validate enterprise data while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and usability. Works independently to identify data quality issues, gather business requirements, recommend process improvements, and support database governance initiatives. Collaborates with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data solutions and ensure compliance with organizational standards., * Maintain, update, and audit relational databases (PostgreSQL), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and traceability.

 * Write and optimize SQL queries, including multi-table joins, aggregations, and validation checks.
 * Perform data quality checks, reconcile discrepancies, and document root causes and corrective actions.
 * Build and maintain Excel-based audit tools using pivot tables, lookups, data validation, and Power Query where applicable.
 * Partner with internal users to gather requirements, challenge unclear requests, and translate business needs into data definitions and logic.
 * Create and maintain documentation including table definitions, field mappings, audit results, and change logs.
 * Support process improvements and controls around data updates, permissions, governance, and compliance requirements.
 * Establish and manage effective relationships with business users and technical teams.
 * Analyze business processes to identify interdependencies, functional gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
 * Support application testing, documentation updates, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
 * Investigate inconsistencies, validate assumptions, identify risks, and recommend innovative solutions.
