You love to learn and try-out new technologies. ## Description As a Python/Django Developer at PwC, you will build and improve digital applications used by colleagues and clients across Europe. You will work on maintaining these applications, improving the existing codebases, security improvements and scalable architecture. You will join a self-steering agile team with backend, frontend, design and product ownership, where you can take ownership of software that matters. What will you be doing? As a Backend Developer you'll become part of an agile international team of 8 colleagues, working hybrid from our office in Amsterdam. Together with your team, you are responsible for a portfolio of digital applications. This means you are involved in both the maintenance, development of new features, scaling and improvement of existing solutions. All this with the aim of quickly delivering innovative digital products without compromising quality. This team is a new and energetic team in Amsterdam that works internationally with other European PwC teams in Amsterdam, Basel, Sidney, Frankfurt, Berlin and Stockholm, to name a few. Your work can include: Maintaining and improving applications built mainly with Python/Django; Reviewing and improving existing codebases, including applications that may have been built in different ways over time; Solving technical issues related to architecture, dependencies, libraries and outdated software; Performing or following up on automated software and security scans; Updating libraries, frameworks and dependencies where needed; Addressing security and compliance findings quickly and effectively; Contributing to technical refactoring and, where needed, more fundamental rewrites of parts of the codebase; Working closely with frontend developers, designers, product owners and other engineers; Helping the team deliver reliable, scalable and high-quality digital products. Some days you may focus on improving architecture or updating a library. Other days you may work on new functionality or respond quickly to a security or compliance issue.
