## About the Role

* Experience providing IT support within an education setting (school or college)
 * Minimum 2* years' experience in a desktop / IT support role*
 * Strong experience with:
 * Windows desktop environments
 * Microsoft 365
 * Basic server environments
 * Comfortable working face-to-face with users in busy environments
 * Able to work independently and take ownership of issues
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Skills

 * Active Directory & Group Policy
 * Microsoft 365 / Azure administration
 * Mobile Device Management (MDM)
 * PowerShell (basic scripting)
 * Backup solutions
 * Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware)
 * Networking (VPNs, VLANs, switches, firewalls)
 * Experience with MSP tools (e.g. Kaseya, Datto)
 * Good documentation and organisation skills

## Description

This is a fully onsite role, supporting a school in North London. You'll work directly with staff and students, acting as a trusted IT presence and taking ownership of day-to-day support.

You'll need to be confident working across different environments, able to adapt quickly, and comfortable being the go-to person on site.

This role suits someone who enjoys being visible, proactive, and relied upon, rather than purely remote or ticket-based support.

What You'll Be Doing

 * Provide hands-on desktop support (1st line) within school environments
 * Deliver face-to-face support to staff and students
 * Work across multiple school sites, adapting to different setups and users
 * Act as a trusted on-site IT contact
 * Troubleshoot and resolve incidents quickly and effectively
 * Work with the helpdesk team to manage and close tickets
 * Escalate issues and liaise with third-party suppliers where required
 * Carry out basic audits and recommend improvements to IT systems
 * Support wider IT projects and team initiatives
