You've been through Oracle Utilities go-live events and know the difference between a plan that looks good on paper and one that holds up under the pressure of a live cutover weekend. You're a clear communicator, a strong coordinator, and a calm decision-maker when things don't go to plan - which they rarely do. You bring the energy and accountability that a Release 2 deployment demands. The work: * Own end-to-end deployment planning and execution for Oracle Utilities Release 2, including cutover runbooks, task sequencing, mock cutovers, dress rehearsals, and production go-live. * Develop and maintain Release 2 deployment plan documentation including task lists, dependencies, resource assignments, timing estimates, and go/no-go criteria. * Coordinate across functional, technical, infrastructure, data conversion, and client operations teams to align and execute the Release 2 deployment schedule. * Lead mock cutover and dress rehearsal exercises, capturing lessons learned and refining execution plans for production go-live. * Manage release management processes including environment readiness, code promotion, configuration migration, and deployment validation. * Serve as central command and communication hub during the live Release 2 deployment event, tracking task completion, escalating blockers, and reporting status to program leadership. * Support post-deployment hypercare operations including batch monitoring, defect triage, and stabilization activities. * Document deployment lessons learned and contribute to deployment playbook improvements for future releases. Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements. ## Related Videos - [Plan CI/CD on the Enterprise level!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/544-plan-ci-cd-on-the-enterprise-level) - [Build ultra-fast In-Memory Database Apps and Microservices with Java ](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/405-build-ultra-fast-in-memory-database-apps-and-microservices-with-java) - [Technical Documentation - How Can I Write Them Better and Why Should I Care?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/681-technical-documentation-how-can-i-write-them-better-and-why-should-i-care) - [3 Key Steps for Optimizing DevOps Workflows](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/962-3-key-steps-for-optimizing-devops-workflows) - [My journey into DevOps world - How it all started!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/545-my-journey-into-devops-world-how-it-all-started) - [In-Memory Computing - The Big Picture](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/626-in-memory-computing-the-big-picture) ## Related Articles - [What Are The Top Skills Required For Azure Developers?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/77-what-are-the-top-skills-required-for-azure-developers) - [How We Built a Worry-Free System That Runs for 10+ Years – And What We’d Do Again](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/751-how-we-built-a-worry-free-system-that-runs-for-10-years-and-what-we-d-do-again) - [7 Important Tips That Every Software Developer Should Know](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/101-7-important-tips-that-every-software-developer-should-know) - [What’s the Difference between a Junior, Mid, and Senior Developer?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/238-what-s-the-difference-between-a-junior-mid-and-senior-developer) - [Should senior developers refuse interview coding challenges?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/29-should-senior-developers-refuse-interview-coding-challenges) - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers)
