 * Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, instrumentation & controls, or related field. Relevant technical experience may be a substitute.
 * Programming knowledge in Python and RESTful services preferred.
 * Familiarity with Inductive Automation Ignition platform preferred.

## Description

Our Ignition Technician is a member of our Enterprise Services team. Techneaux's Enterprise Services team provides software integration and staff augmentation services centered around SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems primarily for the Energy / Oil & Gas industry. We are vendor-agnostic and routinely help clients with many different brands of SCADA systems, as well as other third-party systems that need to be integrated with SCADA systems. We offer a wide range of services ranging from entry-level data manipulation, developing custom interfaces between various systems, multi-tiered system support, designing and architecting completely new systems, to developing custom utilities to automate repetitive tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 * Work with senior team members to deliver on project and support tasks.
 * Responsible for infrastructure recommendations related to SCADA including related hardware and software to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity, and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing SCADA.
 * Provide customer support for new and existing Ignition-based SCADA systems.
 * Plan and execute designs, configurations, or enhancements to new and existing Ignition services.
 * Research, recommend, and design new technologies, new configurations, and enhancements to existing SCADA. Provide consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the environment.
 * Ability to travel, if required.
