## About the Role

* Experience ina high transaction volumeenvironment
 * Ability tofollow processbut be innovative andrecommend improvements to those processes
 * Proven work experience as a Cash Applications Specialist or similar role
 * Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
 * Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and accounting software
 * Excellent data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 * Strong numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills
 * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
 * High school diploma; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is a plus

## Description

* Ensure accurate and timely cash application by processing all incoming payments
 * Research, resolve, and apply all cash receipts and wire payments
 * Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and customer billing issues
 * Maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
 * Monitor daily cashreceived versus AR activity
 * Communicate with customers regarding billing discrepancies and questions
 * Work closely with the collections department to ensure proper application of payments
 * Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports for management
 * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, * Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
 * Bend, reach, stoop, or climb stairs as needed.
 * Maintain the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.

The successful candidate must be able to:

 * Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employees, customers, vendors, and business partners.
 * Read, analyze, and interpret business documents and correspondence.
 * Prepare reports, presentations, and other written communications.
 * Actively listen and respond professionally in both individual and group settings.
 * Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or proprietary information.
