Certifications: CISCO Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Enterprise Wireless, and CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP) required. ## Description Senior network and communications infrastructure architects oversee the workflow involved in maintaining the enterprise network to include CI-1 Network, CI-2 backbone infrastructure, WLAN, and CI-1 cloud networks. They are responsible for designing and implementing the CIs network wired and wireless infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues, and managing the network and communications infrastructure architect staff. In addition, they shall be maintaining and securing the systems that support the CI's voice, data, and video communications which often span both technical and strategic responsibilities to include but not limited to the following: 1. Network Design & Implementation Design and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based network Infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions. Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions. 2. Infrastructure Maintenance & Support Monitor network performance and availability. Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues across multiple sites. Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and configurations. 3. Communications Systems Management Support and manage VoIP systems, video conferencing platforms, and unified communications tools. Ensure reliable and secure communication channels across the CI. 4. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain network security measures (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, access controls). Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to mitigate risks and respond to incidents. 5. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and contractors on infrastructure projects. Coordinate with field personnel and remote sites for deployments and troubleshooting. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. 6. Documentation & Reporting Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams. Generate reports on network performance, outages, and capacity planning. 7. Project Management Lead or support infrastructure-related projects, including site build-outs, migrations, and decommissioning.
