In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical issues, providing prompt and effective solutions to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. This position offers an opportunity to develop your IT support skills across diverse systems and infrastructure, contributing significantly to maintaining a reliable and efficient IT environment. The primary responsibilities of this position will be planning, managing, and providing hardware and software support for the Distribution Center. This position requires the ability to perform these responsibilities in a safe, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with Safety policy & procedures, Quality and the principles of 3Q6S, and time standards. Regular attendance is required for this position Shift is 8am-5pm plus any overtime as needed Schedule is Monday through Friday plus any weekends as needed will be mandatory Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Resolves software and hardware problems for users in a timely manner * Must be capable of making minor repairs to computers, printers and scanners * Assist with Software installation and maintenance of PC, Printers, RF equipment, Thermal Printers, Access Points. * Maintains a hardware and software inventory/support for computers, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers and fax machines * Provide Help Desk support to end-users * Performs installation of desktop application software, and hardware maintains databases or ability to modify existing ones. * Ability to create documentation and provide training to users * Develop spreadsheets and reports when requested. * Maintains software licenses and contracts * Assist in securing internal network and facility (networking and surveillance) * Assess and periodically review the effectiveness of current operating systems. * Make suggestions for improvements and/or the need for new hardware or software * Works with departments to assess their needs, does research, makes recommendations * Project oriented Essential Functions The Duties listed in no way states or implies that these are the only job duties the Computer Specialist will be required to perform.
