## About the Role

Candidate will be required to provide transportation to various reporting locations, minus commute.

Required PPE:
Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Steel/Composite Toe Footwear, FR Clothing, Hearing Protection, Reflective Traffic Vest

Worker must wear EH footwear and 100% cotton clothing at all times while working in substation environment

Required Skills and Qualifications

 * Successful candidate must live within a reasonable commute to the assigned office location
 * High school diploma or equivalent
 * 4 year BS Engineering Degree (Electrical Preferred)
 * 0-3 years' experience in Engineering or similar role
 * Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
 * Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
 * Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs
 * Experience with AC & DC systems
 * Computer skills
 * Basic AC & DC electrical system understanding and troubleshooting skills
 * Familiarity with electrical industry / equipment
 * Ability to read/ interpret electrical blueprint/schematic drawings
 * Good writing and communication skills

## Description

** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Test Engineer P&C 1 to fill a one- year contract assignment in the Montgomery, AL area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary., * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices

 * Perform calibration of various types of protection and control relays and devices
 * Assist in creating and maintaining protection and control documentation
 * Assist assigned project lead with field assignments
 * Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices
