## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience in Java development with Spring Boot
 * Proven experience building microservices-based, scalable backend systems
 * Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native deployments
 * Expertise in RESTful APIs and distributed system design
 * Experience with Angular and Node.js
 * Exposure to CMS integration and enterprise platform support
 * Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
 * Familiarity with AI/LLM concepts is a plus
 * Strong problem-solving skills with ability to perform live coding and debugging

Additional Requirements

 * 7 18 years of professional software development experience
 * Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
 * Recent experience in the Financial Services domain is required
 * Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile environments
 * Must be available for in-person interview in Rockville, MD
 * Preference for candidates based in the DMV region

## Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications within a fast-paced financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on development experience, deep expertise in modern backend architectures, and the ability to contribute across full-stack components in an Agile delivery model. Key Responsibilities

 * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices-based architectures
 * Build and enhance cloud-native applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
 * Develop and integrate RESTful APIs across enterprise systems
 * Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions
 * Support application deployment, monitoring, and production stability in cloud environments
 * Work closely with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
 * Contribute to UI and full-stack development where needed (Angular/Node.js)
 * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions
 * Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis
