## About the Role

+ Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field. Four years of related experience.

 + Or, Master's degree in Data Science, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field. Two years of related experience.

 + Experience working on spatial data processing using ArcGIS, R, and/or Python.

 + Experience in building, training, and deploying machine learning models.

 + Experience working with satellite remote sensing data and data mining techniques.

 + Strong oral and written communication skills.

 + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

 + Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment.

 + Expertise in data assimilation techniques.

## Description

The Geospatial Analyst will conduct research on remote sensing and machine learning to develop models that produce spatial data products required for large-scale agricultural systems modeling.

Responsibilities:

 + Develop and improve machine learning models for estimating crop biophysical

 + properties using satellite remote sensing datasets.

 + Implement spatial and remote sensing data processing algorithms to produce datasets

 + to integrate and/or assimilate into crop models.

 + Assist with literature review, reports, and publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.

 + Performs other duties as assigned.
