## About the Role

* Proven experience in IT repair, refurbishment, or technical support
 * Strong knowledge of PC and laptop hardware
 * Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
 * Experience with mobile device repair (phones/tablets) is highly desirable
 * Understanding of BIOS, OS installation, and system diagnostics
 * Familiarity with data wiping and secure disposal practices
 * Ability to work independently and manage workload
 * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

 * Experience with server hardware and RAID systems
 * Component-level repair skills (soldering etc.)
 * Knowledge of IT asset recovery or WEEE recycling environments
 * CompTIA A+ or similar qualifications, * Any relevant qualifications or certifications
 * Examples of previous repair or refurbishment work (if available)

We are looking for someone practical, reliable, and confident working across a broad range of IT hardware in a fast-paced recycling and refurbishment environment.

## Description

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician with strong hands-on repair experience across a wide range of devices. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and preparing IT equipment for resale or reuse.

You should be confident working with a variety of hardware and enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Equipment You Will Work With

 * Laptops (Windows & MacBooks)
 * Desktop PCs and custom builds
 * Mobile phones (iOS & Android)
 * Tablets and iPads
 * Servers and enterprise hardware
 * Monitors and peripherals
 * Networking equipment

Responsibilities

 * Diagnose hardware and software faults across multiple device types
 * Repair and replace components (screens, batteries, boards, storage, etc.)
 * Reinstall and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile OS)
 * Test and quality-check refurbished devices
 * Grade equipment for resale or recycling streams
 * Maintain accurate records of repairs and stock
 * Work efficiently through high volumes of mixed IT equipment
