## About the Role

* Strong knowledge of data center hardware and networking principles
 * Familiar with cabling requirements in the data center (copper, fiber, power)
 * Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues
 * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
 * Previous experience in a field service or data center technician role is preferred
 * Familiar with service management tools such as ServiceNow
 * Proficient in using hand tools for equipment installation and maintenance

## Description

Dedicated daily operational support and maintenance for a corporate data center environment. Role is fully onsite and requires exceptionally reliable attendance record Monday through Friday during regular business hours to support critical infrastructure., * Provision, plan, install, and maintain equipment in the data center including servers network switches and routers.

 * Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, operational readings and inventory management.
 * Assist in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
 * Order and procure equipment and parts necessary for installations in advance.
 * Manage shipping and receiving of parts, hardware, devices and perform associated documentation/updates/notifications .
 * Write procedural and policy documentation for internal and external use.
 * Coordinate expansion projects with requestors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations.
 * Role also serves an on-call function on a rotational basis.
