Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization., Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. ## Description JOB The City of Roanoke is seeking a Information Systems Support Specialist I in the Department of Human Services will assist in the facilitation and utilization of automated equipment and systems for the City of Roanoke Department of Human/Social Services. The successful applicant will assist in the coordination with other agencies to gain access to computer files, programs or software; assist in the training of departmental staff in use of software applications and specific equipment needed by various staff units; assist with the coordination and scheduling of the implementation of additional hardware and software, working with state and city technical support staff and networking engineers; troubleshoot to determine causes of problems and resolution; assist in inventories of computer equipment; and may perform new user security setup, including user account creation and assignment of security permissions., To elevate the performance of the organization, we are committed to respecting, celebrating, and embracing the collective mixture of differences and similarities between our employees as a rich tapestry.
