The company's first product turns prompts and documents into whiteboard-style explainer videos in seconds, with a broader vision to make video generation fast, cheap, and programmable enough for AI to use video anywhere it uses text today. This is one of three founding engineering hires, focused on the technical systems that make the core product fast, efficient, and high quality. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys understanding real system behavior, profiling bottlenecks, improving difficult product paths, and building clean interfaces around complex internals. A background in robotics, embedded systems, or electronics engineering is a strong signal for the kind of systems-level thinking this role requires., Improve speed, efficiency, quality, and reliability across core product workflows Profile and debug bottlenecks across application code, media workflows, data movement, and infrastructure boundaries Build benchmarking, regression tracking, and test harnesses for important system behavior Improve concurrency, caching, batching, scheduling, and resource usage Design internal interfaces that make complex technical systems easier for the rest of the product team to use Work close to product needs while making deep technical improvements under the hood ## Related Videos - [Developing the Backend with Stefan Lingler, CTO at Shpock](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100360-developing-the-backend-with-stefan-lingler-cto-at-shpock) - [Kubernetes and Microservices with Multi-Model Databases](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/382-kubernetes-and-microservices-with-multi-model-databases) - [Swapping Low Latency Data Storage Under High Load](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/746-swapping-low-latency-data-storage-under-high-load) - [Shipping Faster with Less: Render on Cloud Hosting, AI Workloads, and the Future of DevOps](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1894-shipping-faster-with-less-render-on-cloud-hosting-ai-workloads-and-the-future-of-devops) - [Nest.js - TypeScript in the backend can also be clean](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1033-nest-js-typescript-in-the-backend-can-also-be-clean) - [The Software Engineer 2030: From Coder To AI Orchestrator? - Patrick Schnell](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1825-the-software-engineer-2030-from-coder-to-ai-orchestrator-patrick-schnell) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [How to Become an AI Engineer](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/331-how-to-become-an-ai-engineer) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [What is Software Engineering in the Age of AI?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/640-what-is-software-engineering-in-the-age-of-ai) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this)
