## About the Role

* Accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
 * Experience or training in commissioning and testing substation SCADA equipment.
 * Knowledge of safe work practices in substation or industrial environments.
 * Ability to use electrical testing tools such as multimeters and hand tools.
 * Basic understanding of AC & DC electrical systems.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

 * Experience or training in microprocessor (IED) technology.
 * Experience with serial and ethernet network communications.
 * Knowledge of substation relay protection and control equipment.
 * Familiarity with industrial control systems including PLCs and generation plant controls.
 * Proficiency in computer productivity tools such as spreadsheets.
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
 * Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

## Description

The Test Engineer P&C 1 is responsible for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting substation integration and SCADA equipment within the Protection & Control Field Services Substation Integration & Automation group. This role involves planning and executing projects safely, efficiently, and accurately, primarily working on-site and in the field. The position requires 0-5 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in engineering. Responsibilities:

 * Commission and test substation integration and SCADA equipment.
 * Troubleshoot substation systems and equipment issues.
 * Plan and complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
 * Perform power system calculations and measurements.
 * Work primarily on-site and in the field.
