Your work will focus on characterizing semiconductor devices, designing and automating test infrastructure, and extracting key electrical parameters to inform process improvements. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role that requires both deep technical understanding and strong collaboration with process, test, and design engineers. We're looking for someone who's excited to work across disciplines developing probe cards, designing test structures, running electrical characterization, and building automation infrastructure. A background in device physics and experience with CMOS modeling (e.g., BSIM) will be valuable, especially for parameter extraction and feedback into process development. You'll have the opportunity to work across the full testing stack from test structure design to silicon fabrication and data analysis. Your contributions will help shape how we validate and improve our CMOS processes in a fast-paced, startup environment. Responsibilities * Collaborate with process and electrical engineers to design probe cards and test structures * Design and fabricate CMOS test chips for characterization and calibration * Develop and implement test plans to extract key device parameters (e.g., threshold voltage, mobility, leakage) * Deploy parameter extraction tools and methods (e.g., BSIM models) to characterize devices and model performance * Analyze test data to provide feedback to process engineers, helping improve materials and process flows * Develop and maintain test automation infrastructure for streamlined electrical characterization * Document test results and characterization findings clearly and rigorously ## Related Videos - [How to add test automation to your project: The good, the bad, and the ugly](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1668-how-to-add-test-automation-to-your-project-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly) - [Dirty Tests And How To Clean Them](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/515-dirty-tests-and-how-to-clean-them) - [The Billion Dollar Machine: First Time Right.](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/393-the-billion-dollar-machine-first-time-right) - [Data Science in Retail](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/586-data-science-in-retail) - [SMART Test Automation - the experience of legacy transformation](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100215-smart-test-automation-the-experience-of-legacy-transformation) - [AI as a Test Designer: Transforming Experience into Automated Testing](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1984-ai-as-a-test-designer-transforming-experience-into-automated-testing) ## Related Articles - [The 8 Best Code Testing Tools](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/402-the-8-best-code-testing-tools) - [Where To Find Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/396-where-to-find-software-engineering-jobs) - [Where to Find Entry-Level Software Engineering Jobs](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/397-where-to-find-entry-level-software-engineering-jobs) - [Résumé-Driven Development: How IT trends affect the job market for software developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/59-resume-driven-development-how-it-trends-affect-the-job-market-for-software-developers) - [Should senior developers refuse interview coding challenges?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/29-should-senior-developers-refuse-interview-coding-challenges) - [Is Software Engineering Over-Saturated?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/418-is-software-engineering-over-saturated)
