## Description

Fachinformatiker bzw. Fachinformatikerinnen stehen für die fachliche Beratung, Betreuung und Schulung von Mitarbeitenden der Stadt Duisburg zur Verfügung.

Unter anderem lernst du

 * fachspezifische Anforderungen in komplexe Hard- und Softwaresysteme umzusetzen
 * informations- und telekommunikationstechnische Systeme zu analysieren, planen und realisieren
 * IT-Systeme zu konzipieren, realisieren und administrieren
 * Netzwerke zu installieren und konfigurieren

Die Einsatzgebiete liegen in den Rechenzentren, Netzwerken, Client-Server-Architekturen, Festnetzen und Funknetzen.

Der IT-Bereich bietet vielfältige Aufgaben und Herausforderungen auf dem Weg der Digitalisierung der Stadt.

Neben den eher klassischen Themen wie Vernetzung, Programmierung, Betrieb von Rechnern, Datenbanken und Anwendungen, gewinnen neue Aspekte, wie digitale Prozessunterstützung, Mobile-Device-Management (MDM), Virtualisierung, Mobileanwendungen, Geoinformationssysteme und die Integration von Portalen zunehmend an Bedeutung.

Ebenso findet eine Transformation des klassischen, festen Schreibtischarbeitsplatzes zu einem flexibleren, mehr ortsunabhängigen "modern workspace" statt, der den Einsatz moderner Kollaborationswerkzeuge und Kommunikationsmittel erfordert.
