## About the Role

* Proven experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar role.
 * Strong background supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
 * Experience with:
 + Windows Server administration
 + Active Directory and Group Policy
 + Microsoft 365 technologies
 + Virtualisation platforms (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
 + Storage, backup and disaster recovery solutions
 + Networking technologies including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, switching and firewalls
 + Cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure
 + Endpoint management and patching solutions
 + Cyber security monitoring and incident response
 * Experience supporting both cloud and on-premises environments
 * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 * Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

 * Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) environments
 * Microsoft, VMware, Azure or cyber security certifications
 * Experience within the energy, engineering, industrial or global enterprise sectors
 * Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance and governance best practices

## Description

* Provide infrastructure support across global operations, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
 * Support and troubleshoot server, network and endpoint technologies across the business
 * Investigate, manage and resolve infrastructure incidents, escalating where appropriate
 * Maintain and support a portfolio of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure services
 * Monitor, identify and respond to cyber security threats and incidents
 * Ensure operating systems, applications and endpoint devices are maintained with appropriate updates and security patches
 * Support physical servers, storage platforms, virtual environments and cloud technologies
 * Ensure backup, recovery, data retention and disaster recovery solutions are maintained and regularly tested
 * Manage software licensing and compliance requirements
 * Provide technical support across infrastructure, cyber security and operational technology (OT) environments
 * Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with IT&S security policies and standards
 * Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the IT&S technology strategy
 * Assess, recommend and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and industry best practice
 * Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, security and operational efficiency
 * Build effective working relationships with internal users, technical teams and third-party vendors
 * Provide regular progress updates and communicate risks, issues and recommendations to management
 * Escalate critical issues that may impact business operations
 * Maintain accurate records within the IT Service Management system
 * Ensure service requests and incidents are managed within agreed SLAs
 * Follow all company policies, procedures and QHS&E requirements
 * Contribute to quality, safety and environmental improvement initiatives
